Rites for Hubert Puettmann

Funeral services were held Monday, January 25 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage for Hubert Puettmann, age 80, who passed away Wednesday, January 20 [1982] at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage after suffering a stroke on December 27.

Celebrating the funeral Mass was the Reverend Jacob Roth. Arrangements were made by D. R. Champion and Sons and burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Osage.

H. Hubert Puettmann was born in Carroll County on March 26, 1901, the son of Joseph and Agnes Puettmann. He moved to Mitchell County in 1914.

Hubert Puettmann and Laura Kramer were united in marriage on October 6, 1925, and since that time have been farming in the Little Cedar and Stacyville areas.

Hubert was a life long member of the Catholic Church and was active for many years in the Knights of Columbus.

Survivng are three daughters, Mrs. Norman (Eileen) Lincke, Osage, Mrs. Ivan (Bernice) Valley, Clarion; Mrs. Curt (Ramona) Saurer, Northville, Michigan, and two sons, Alfred of Fullerton, California and Wilbur of Little Cedar; twenty-three grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and seven sisters.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Laura and two sisters.
