Dale Gabby

Funeral services for Dale Gabby, 77, of Osage were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 10, 1984 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage.

He died on Tuesday, February 7, 1984, at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. The Reverend Jacob Roth officiated at the service with burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery where military rites were performed by the American Legion Post 276.

Dale spent most of his life in Osage. At one time he had a portable roller rink and the Orchard Pavilion. He was employed from 1950 to 1972 in Mitchell County as a surveyor and as assistant county engineer. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife Evelyn of Osage; three daughters, Mrs. Brian (Kathy) Tindall of Des Moines, Renee and Nancy of St. Paul, Minnesota; three sons, Kevin of St. Paul, Minnesota, Kenneth of Byron, Minnesota, and Jeffrey of Iowa City; four grandchildren; his mother, Dora Gabby of Clarendon Hills, Illinois; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Crossett of Clarendon Hills, Illinois, and one brother, Galen of Denver, Colorado.
