Sharon (Lowe) Cimmiyotti 1943-2011
The Lord took our angel Sharon Cimmiyotti, 67, to Heaven on March 6, 2011, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospice Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Sharon was born October 19, 1943, in Austin, to Glen and Ruth (Heydt) Lowe. She graduated from Rose Creek High School in 1961. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Gordy Cimmiyotti, on August 5, 1961, in Tijuana, Mexico. They enjoyed 49 and a half years of marriage. She spent more than 40 years working hand-in-hand building their business, Gordy’s Repair and Implement in Stacyville.
She enjoyed traveling, camping, biking, racing and going to casinos. She enjoyed spending time wither her family, especially her grandkids and being a mom to all of her camping friends.
Survivors include her husband, Gordy; children, Glen (Lori) Cimmiyoti of Stacyville, Corky (Steve) Follmuth of Stacyville, Nita (Al) Hinrickson of Pocahontas, Iowa and Justin (Angela) Cimmiyotti of Osage, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, Amber, Kayla, Cari, Garrett, Jennifer, Mackenzie, Logan, Dillon, Alicia, Josh, Jacob, Jordyn and Maggie, three great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, special friend, Judy Hage; three brothers and a sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don “Red” Lowe; sister-in-law, Mary Lowe.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 10, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville with the Reverand John Moser and Reverand Thomas Loomis officiating. Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery, Stacyville. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 S. School Street, St. Ansgar. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Mayo Clinic for lung cancer research.
