RAYMOND G. STARK

RICEVILLE - Raymond G. Stark, 74, of Riceville, passed away Monday (Jan. 8, 2001) at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the United Methodist Church in Riceville, with the Rev. Michael Carey officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Riceville.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville and one hour prior to services on Friday at the Church.

Raymond was born on Aug. 22, 1926 in Riceville to Harvey and Marion Torney Stark. He attended local country schools.

On Sept. 3, 1955 he was united in marriage to Loretta Jordan at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Chester, Iowa. To this union four children were born.

Raymond was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army, a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Second (Indian Head) Division Association, and the Korean War Veteran's Alliance.

Survivors include his wife,

Loretta, of Riceville; one son, Gary and his wife, Lynne, of Estes Park, Colo.; three daughters, Connie and her husband, Duane Losee, of Mason City, Kay and her husband, Larry Dose, of Rochester, Minn., and Sandy and her husband, Gary Tuttle, of Ames. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Raymond and Ryan Garza, Sarah and Patrick Dose, Ben, Jackie and Jessie Tuttle, and Cameron, Alicia, Kyra and Tanner Stark; and one sister, Mrs. Warren (Mildred) Matteson, of Adams, Minn.

Raymond was preceded in death by his mother in 1968; his father in 1976; two sisters, Merle in 1922 and Eleanor in 1925; and one brother, Glendon (Ted) Stark in 1991.
