BEN KITTLESON TAKEN BY DEATH

Funeral services were held May 1, 1973 for Ben Kittleson, 79, of Willmar, Minn., who died April 27, 1973 at Methodist hospital in Rochester as the result of pneumonia. Mr. Kittleson was a former resident of Mitchell county.

The Rev. Stephen Engelstad, church pastor, was in charge of the rites at the First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar and burial was in the city cemetery there.

Ben O. Kittleson was born October 7, 1893, in Lyle, the son of Lars and Betsy Thorsen Kittleson. He grew to manhood in the St. Ansgar area.

Hazel Lewis and Ben Kittleson were united in marriage May 20, 1925. They farmed at St. Ansgar until 1948, when they moved to Austin. They also lived in Osage and Grand Meadow before retiring to Willmar, Minn. He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel; three sons, Kenneth of Beaver Dam, Wis., Lester of Willmar, Gerald of Rochester; one daughter, Maxine of Grand Meadow, Minn.; 15 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Linda Rodemaker of Osage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one brother and one sister.
