Funeral services for Minnie Koball, 89, of St. Ansgar, who died Friday, June 26, 1987 at her home, were held Tuesday, June 30 at First Lutheran church, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Thomas Hughes officiating.

Minnie Gilbertson Koball was born January 30, 1898 at Badger, Minn. She moved to Kensett as a child where she was adopted by the Elverum family. In 1918 the family moved to St. Ansgar. She married Otto Koball in 1922.

She worked at the Oliver Manufacturing Company in Charles City for about 17 years. She was an active member of the First Lutheran church and Esther circle. She was a member of the Neighborhood Birthday club. She had lived all of her adult life in St. Ansgar and was an avid trout fisherwoman up until the time of her death.

Surviving are her daughter, Florence Nelson of Rockford, Ill.; one brother, Glenn Gilbertson of Mason City.

Preceding her in death were her husband, a son and a sister.

Burial was in First Lutheran cemetery.
