Than 50 Years, Dies

STACYVILLE, IOWA -- April 11 — Jacob Brown, 79, died at his home here Wednesday morning following an illness of several months.

Mr. Brown was a native of Bavaria, Germany, born in March, 1850. He came to America in 1852, living in Wisconsin until 1876 when he came to this county and settled in Stacyville Township. He was married in 1872 to Franciska Sharer. They moved into Stacyville 15 years ago.

Besides his widow, five** children survive him: Barney, Valentine and John, of Stacyville, Franke, Plainfield, Wisconsin., Henry, Minneapolis and Joe, Spring Grove, Illinois.

Tentative arrangements have been made to hold the funeral Saturday at Visitation church of which he was a member. Burial will be made in Visitation Cemetery.
