MARION SKUTTLE FATALLY HURT
FORMER NORTH IOWAN STRUCK BY AUTOMOBILE
Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mason City at 9 a.m. Tuesday for Marion O. Skuttle, 42, who died in a Chicago hospital Friday shortly after being struck by a hit and run driver.
The body will lie in state at the Meyer funeral home until the time of the services. The Rev. P. J. Behan will be in charge. Burial will be at St. Ansgar.
Mr. Skuttle was born at Buffalo Center, November 4, 1903, and had lived in Chicago for the past 4 years where he was employed by the Mutual Health and Benefit association. Mr. Skuttle was married to Gladys Ford at Buffalo Center in 1927. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Skuttle.
Surviving are 1 daughter, Nancy Ann Skuttle, Emmetsburg, and 1 sister, Cora Skuttle, Waterloo.
Mr. Skuttle was preceded in death by his wife in 1925 and his parents.
The Meyer funeral home is in charge of the service.
