Pickwick -- Victor Gunderson received word Monday of the death of his sister, Mrs. Martin Hultman (Julia Gunderson), 47, at Osage, Iowa. The funeral was held Thursday at Osage. Mr. Gunderson was unable to attend.Surviving Mrs. Hultman are her husband; two daughters, Sonia Hultman, nine, and Gloria Cox, 16; her mother, Mrs. Emma Gunderson, Brownsville; a sister Mrs. Ellen McNamara, Elizabeth, N. J.; and three brothers Gordon Gunderson, Atlanta, Ga.; Leon Gunderson, Brownsville; and Victor Gunderson, Pickwick.
Mrs. Hultman’s son, Donald Cox 20, a fireman in the merchant marine during the war, died when his ship was sunk in November 1942.
Mrs. Hultman was born at Osage but much of her early life was spent at Richmond, where her parents moved.
She was married to Fred Cox, Pickwick, Armistice Day, 1918. Mr. Cox died in April 1934, at Homer, where the family lived. He was employed at the United States Fisheries station. Mr. Cox served in World War I.Following his death Mrs. Cox lived at Osage, where she was married to Mr. Hultman.

Julia Victoria Gunderson was born about 1901-1902 in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Axel and Emma (Gustafson) Gunderson.#3
Julia Gunderson married Fred Granis Cox and after his death married Martin Carl Hultman.
Her first husband was born September 6, 1893 in Homer, Winona, Minnesota (WWI Draft registration), the son of Charles L and Caroline (Gramms) Cox. He died in April 26, 1934 in Winona Co., Minnesota. In the 1930 Homer Minnesota Census, they had one son S. Donald who was 7 years old.#4
HULTMAN--COXDecorah-- Mrs. Julia Victoria Cox, of Osage, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Axel Gunderson of Osage, was married to Martin Carl Hultman of Osage, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Hultman of Osage, at the Radio Methodist church of Iowa at Decorah June 5th by the REv. O. Sandbach.
They were accompanied by Victor Gunderson, brother of the bride, bestman, and Miss Helen Hultman, sister of the bridegroom, maid of honor. Immediately after the ceremony luncheon was served at the Winnishiek hotel and they left by auto for a trip through Minnesota.
They will be at home in their new home at Osage where he is employed in the government office.Mason City Globe Gazette, June 8, 1937
