Funeral services for Lewis J. Johnson, 74, who died Sunday, June 16, 1963 at the Osage Nursing Home, were held Tuesday, June 18, 1963 at the Schroeder & Houg Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Comnick officiating.
Lewis J. Johnson, son of Albert and Ella Johnson, was born May 8, 1889 in St. Ansgar. He was baptized the same year by the Rev. Olsen and was confirmed in Deer Creek Lutheran church in 1903 by Rev. Waldeland.
He attended school in St. Ansgar and Otranto.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Johnson and Mrs. Alfred Kittleson, a niece, Mrs. Daniel Attlesey and a host of relatives and friends.
Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery.
