PIONEER OSAGE RESIDENT DIES
FUNERAL SERVICES CONDUCTED
IN ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN CHURCHOSAGE, IOWA, Oct. 17 – Julius Frederick Adrian, one of the oldest pioneer residents of Cedar township, died Tuesday morning at the age of 85. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the St. Johns Lutheran church in Cedar township with the Rev. F. A. Brann in charge.
Mr. Adrian was born in Brandenburg, Germany, December 27, 1842, and came to America when 15 years old, settling first in Wisconsin and later coming to Mitchell county.
He was married December 7, 1875, to Mary Fisler.
Five children were born of which four are living; Mrs. Nels Benson of Cedar township; Herman at home; Will of Osage; and Alfred living near LeRoy, Minn. One brother, Herman, lives in North Dakota, also survives.
