Mavis C. Mohring-Rosauer

SOLON, IOWA -- Mavis C. Mohring-Rosauer, 45, of Solon, died Tuesday afternoon, October 1, 1996, at the Solon Nursing Care Center of Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Brosh Funeral Home in Solon.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Iowa City, with the Rev. Roy C. Nilsen officiating, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday.

Funeral services will also be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Eden Presbyterian Church, rural Rudd, with the Rev. John Bates officiating, where friends may call after 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Burial will be in the Eden Presbyterian Church Cemetery, rural Rudd. A memorial fund has been established.

Mavis was born August 8, 1951, at Charles City. She graduated from Nora Springs High School in 1969 and then attended Hamilton Business College in Mason City.

She was married to Tom Mohring at Rockford. They were later divorced.

Mavis was married to Dennis Joseph Rosauer in April of 1990 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly. Mavis was employed in the business office at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Beta Sigma Phi Women's Organization.

Mavis is survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Justin Mohring and Jolene Mohring, both at home; and Danielle J. Rosauer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her parents, Paul and LaVera Nash Gratias of Osage; and two brothers, Raymond Gratias and his wife, Cheryl, of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Roger Gratias of Osage.
