Stacyville rites
for Marvin Faas
Funeral services for Marvin R. Faas, 44, were held Friday, October 10 at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville. He Died October 7 at his home in Denver, Iowa.
The Rev. Robert J. Reiss celebrated the funeral mass and conducted graveside services at the Visitation Cemetery. Hatten Funeral Home was in charge of interment.
Marvin R. Faas was born July 5, 1936, in Stacyville, the son of Ben and Mabel Winer Faas. He attended schools in Stacyville and was presently employed by the John Deere Company of Waterloo.
Surviving are three daughters, Joanie and Julie Faas of Iowa City; Mary Jane Faas and a son, Robert Faas of Waterloo; his mother, Mrs. Mabel Faas, Stacyville; two brothers, John of Stacyville, Sylvan of Lyle; three sisters, Mrs. William IIrene) Neis, Osage, Mrs. Larry (Margaret) Huemann, Stacyville and Mrs. Darwin (Marlene) Mauer of Denver.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert and his father, Ben Faas, in April 1979.
