Obituary
Wava Jean Cooper

Wava Jean Cooper, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cooper, was born Dec. 27, 1938, at Mitchell, Iowa, and passed away at the home of her parents January 10, 1939, after a brief stay of only fifteen days.

Even though she was a perfectly normal and healthy child she was stricken suddenly Monday noon with bronchial pneumonia, and although everything which loving hands and medical care could do was done, she passd quietly away after an illness of only thirty-fours hours.

Though Wava Jean's stay on earth was only a few days, by her sweet and sunny disposition she had won a place in the hearts of all who came to know her, and her presence will be greatly missed, especially by her little brothers and sisters whose hearts were gladdened by her coming during the Christmas season.

Surviving are her parents; three brothers-Howard William,Walter and Merrill; three sisters Twila, Dorothy and Mary; her grandparents, and other relatives.

Funeral service was held in the parents' home at Mitchell Thursday afternoon, January 12, at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Benjamin B.Hoyt, of Little Cedar. Miss Elda Smith, of Little Cedar, sang "I'll Be a Sunbeam; and "Savior, Like a Shepherd." Interment was made in the Osage cemetery.
