Services for Ardell (Mrs. Oscar) Johnson, 73, Tallcorn Towers, who died there Tuesday, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Osage, with the Rev. Walley Rasmussen in charge. Burial will be at First Lutheran cemetery, Saint Ansgar. A prayer service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Pursel-Davis Chapel. Memorials are directed to the Full Life Ministry.
Mrs. Johnson was born December 10, 1910 in Mower County, Minn., the daughter of Austin and Julia Enerson Austinson. She was reared and educated in the Lyle, Minn. area, graduating from high school in 1929. She was married to Oscar Johnson September 3, 1930, in Austin, Minn. After marriage, they lived in the Otranto and McIntire areas until moving to LeGrand in 1971, and to Marshalltown in 1983. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Osage, and a former member of Elim Lutheran Church in Marshalltown.
She is survived by her husband and a daughter, Ardis Luthe, Marshalltown. Also surviving are two brothers, Mandeville Austinson, Riceville, and Glenn Austinson, Wheaton, Mo.
She was preceded in death by one brother.

#2:Funeral services for Mrs. Oscar (Ardell) Johnson, age 73, of Marshalltown, Iowa, were held on Friday, March 16 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage. She died Tuesday, March 13, 1984, at her home. Rev. W. Rasmussen of Full Life Ministry and Rev. harold Larson officiated at the service with burial in the First Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Johnson was a former Osage resident.
Ardell Austinson was born on December 10, 1910 to Austin and Julie Emerson Austinson in Mower county, Minnesota. She was a 1929 graduate of the Lyle High School, Lyle Minnesota.
She was united in marriage to Oscar J. Johnson on September 3, 1930 in Austin, Minnesota. From 1930-1936 they lived in Otranto, from 1936-1971 in McIntire, and from 1971-1982 in Le Grand. They also lived in Osage and then moved to Marshalltown.
Survivors include her husband, Oscar of Marshalltown; one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Ardis) Luthe of Marshalltown; two brothers, Mandeville Austinson of Riceville and Glenn Austinson of Wheaton, Missouri.
