William H. Naden 1855-1947
Osage – William H. Naden, 92 died Tuesday night in the Payne Nursing Home at Nora Springs. He was the last of a family of four children. Two brothers, James and Noah, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Hill, preceded him. He had been in the nursing home two years.
He was born in August 1855, near Osage, the son of Isaac and Elizabeth (Butterworth) Naden. A farm accident in his youth left him a semi-invalid the rest of his life. He came to Osage with his parents and in 1899 settled at Charles City. He entered the nursing home in 1945.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Champion Funeral home here with burial in the family lot in Osage Cemetery.
