RITES HERE FOR ELNA STICKNEY
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Elna Stickney, 82, who died February 17, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Joseph Nesheim, pastor, was in charge of the rites at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Saturday afternoon, and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons.
Elna Emma Fehling was born November 27, 1895, at Northwood, one of six children of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Fehling. She was baptized in infancy and spent most of her life in Mitchell County, having lived two years in Belgrade, Minn., where she was confirmed. She received her education in the St. Ansgar schools.
Clifford Stickney and Elna Fehling were united in marriage in Waverly June 26, 1916. She was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, the American Lutheran Church Women, Osage Senior Citizens, Flora May Tuttle Naturalist club and the Grandmothers’ club.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Clifford, who died April 8, 1923; her parents; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters and one brother.
Survivors include three children; Herbert of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; Mrs. Dorothy Hogan of San Diego; and Hila, Mrs. L. G. Judas of Mankato; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
