Oscar C. Halverson who died September 19, 1906 in St. Ansgar of tuberculosis was born near St. Ansgar, December 21, 1884 and was therefore 21 years, 8 months and 28 days of age. His whole life was spent in this vicinity where he grew to manhood and he was liked by all who knew him. Only about two years ago that dread disease, tuberculosis became fixed upon him, and tho he had one operation at Rochester and all that medical skill could accomplish was done it was of no avail. The funeral was conducted by his pastor, Rev. Waldeland, and his remains were laid to rest in the N.L. cemetery.

We have received the following additional facts concerning the life of Oscar O. Halvorson, who obituary was published in last week's Enterprise. Oscar took more than ordinary interest in the subject of education.
He graduated from the Otranto public schools when Mr. Hillman was principal. Then he went to the St. Ansgar Seminary for three terms, stopping only when he was compelled to do so by ill health for his great desire was to get a good education.
He was an earnest Christian and when early in the spring it became evident to him that he had not long to live he became entirely resigned to go, and was even glad that his sickness was of such a nature that he could know before hand that he was going and become fully prepared.
Just before he died he called his parents, brothers and sisters and bade each good bye assuring them that they would meet in heaven.
