Donald Robert Loftus 1943-2005
Donald R. Loftus, 62 of Otsego, died Sunday, October 30, 2005 at his residence.
He was born on October 10, 1943 in New Haven, Iowa, the son of Robert and Melva (Kunze) Loftus.
On June 8, 1963, Donald Robert Loftus and Colleen Ann Glynn were joined in holy marriage at St. Anne Catholic Church in Janesville, Minnesota. God blessed their marriage with five children.
Don was a former longtime Executive Board Member of Elevator Constructors Local No. 9. He enjoyed the out-of-doors, fishing and his family.
Survived by five loving children: Deberah (Loftus) McComb of Winona, Robert (Julia) Loftus of Crystal, Donald B. (Janice) Loftus of Corcoran, Bradley (Marnie) Loftus of Ankeny, Iowa and Brent (Shari) Loftus of St. Michael; fond grandfather of Joe, Colleen, Hailey, Corey, Morgan, Hannah and Jayden; his mother: Melva Loftus of Rochester; brothers: John (Karen) Loftus and Dean (Mavis) Loftus; a sister: Colleen (John) Mulvihill; a special friend: John Aarlie; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by beloved wife Colleen Ann Loftus and by his father Robert.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald Loftus was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 3 at the Church of St. Albert in Albertville. Father Peter Richards was the Celebrant. Interment followed at Otsego Cemetery. A visitation was held at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael - Albertville Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 2 from 3-8 p.m. Casket bearers were Joe Lange, B.J. Lange, Dan Prigge, Paul Anderson, John Bennett, Joe Loftus, Becky Prigge and Dennis Mulvihill.
The Peterson Chapel St. Michael - Albertville Funeral Home served the family.
