Alva “Jim” Balsley 1897-1992

Funeral services were held Monday, January 4, 1993 at Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar for Alva "Jim" Balsley, 95, of St. Ansgar. Reverend Robert Lemmermann of the United Methodist Church of St. Ansgar officiated and burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery. He died Thursday, December 31, at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar.

Alva Balsley was born April 24, 1897 in West Lincoln Township, Mitchell County.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Garcia of New Orleans, LA ; one son, James Balsley of Minneapolis, MN; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren
