Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar on Tuesday afternoon for Arnold F. He was taken at once to the county hospital but did not regain consciousness following this attack.

At Upper Iowa University, where he majored in Political Science, his interest in athletic continued under the tutelage of coach and friend, Dr. John Dorman.
Mr. Hemphill's first coaching position was at Lanesboro high school, Lanesboro, Minn. Except for a year of service in the U.S. Air Corp, he continued in coaching for twenty years. He and his teams have an enviable record of fair play and sportsmanship.
On July 11, 1934, he was united in marriage with Miss Winnie Wiegert of Palmer, Iowa. At Palmer they were both members of the school faculty.
Besides his faithful wife and companion, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Irma Hepperle of Reinbeck, Iowa and two brothers, Corbin of Plymouth and Arthur, a physician at Toledo, Ohio.
