Rites Held

Funeral services for Hazel M. Allison, 84, of Osage, were held February 26, at Champion Funeral Home in Osage with the Reverend George Hope officiating. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery.

Hazel Marie Bryant was born to C.W. Bryant on November 13, 1896 on a farm northeast of Orchard. She attended country school and graduated from the Cedar Valley Seminary where she majored in piano as well as participating in girl's sports such as basketball. After graduation music continued to be an important part of her life; she drove from house to house with horse and buggy giving piano lessons.

On December 29, 1915, Hazel Bryant and Ira Allison were joined in matrimony and set up house on a farm northeast of Osage. Due to failing health, Hazel entered the White House of Osage in January 1979.

Mrs. Allison passed away February 23, 1981. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.

Surviving are her husband, Ira; two children, Mrs. Lavern (Doris) Kehoe of Greene, Iowa and Gordon of Mesa, Arizona; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
