EDWARD PAUL AHRENS
OSAGE - Edward Paul Ahrens, 88, of Osage died Thursday (Sept. 16, 1999) at the Faith Home, in Osage.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Eden Presbyterian Church, rural Rudd, with the Rev. John Bates officiating. Burial will be in Eden Presbyterian Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Edward was born Sept. 23, 1910 in Rosemont, Neb., the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Henry J. Ahrens. He graduated from Lawrence (Nebraska) High School.
Edward was united in marriage to Lena Lampman on June 7, 1933 at Rosemont, Neb. He farmed in the rural Rudd and Floyd area all of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Lena, of Osage; twin sons, Donell Ahrens and his wife, Pat, of Mason City and Berdell Ahrens and his wife, Wave, of Rudd; two daughters, Vonda Lee Schmidt and her husband, Richard, of Lodi, Wis. and Dorothy Lesch and her husband, James, of Brentwood, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, the Rev. Milton Ahrens, of Duluth, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother.
