RETIRED FARMER DIES AT OSAGE
Osage – Funeral services for William Tabbert, 82, will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Fellowship Hall, with burial in the Osage Cemetery. He died Monday following major surgery a week ago.
Survivors include four children: Victor of Osage; Mrs. Carl Borchardt of Plymouth; Mrs. Arthur Schmidt of Osage; and Louise at home; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers: Henry of Rochester, Minn., and Chris of Alexandria, Minn., and two sisters; Mrs. Ella Laabs of Appleton, Wis., and Mrs. Ed Hackbart of Osage.
The family farmed west of Osage, retiring to Osage in 1922. Mrs. Tabbert died in 1930.

NOTES:William F Tabbert was born June 1870 according to the 1900 Cednsus: He was the son of Christian and Pauline Tabbert. In the 1925 Iowa Census they list his mothers maiden name as Vecker, not verified. It might also be Ueker . . . theres a Christian Tabbert death in Minnesota (possibly his brother) whose mothers maiden name is listed as Ueker.
He married Anna Schmidt the daughter of Michael Schmidt and Marie Louisa (Ravenberg) Schmidt. Note* the maiden name for her mother comes from the 1925 Iowa Census.
