Funeral services were held Tuesday February 17, 1948 for Mrs. Gilbert Framstad at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church of rural Cedar Township. The Rev. S. O. Sorlien officiated and burial was made in the Rock Creek Lutheran cemetery. Mrs. Framstad died Friday, February 13th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna Anderson, in Osage, Iowa.
Dorthe Olsdatter was born on August 19, 1857 in Gran, Oppland, Norway. She came to America at the age of 23. She was married to Mr. Gulbrand (Gilbert) Pedersen Framstad of the Rock Creek community on March 31, 1882 and the couple established their home on a farm there. They retired from active work in 1924 and moved to a home in Osage. Since her husband’s death in 1936, Mrs. Framstad lived in the homes of her children.
Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Andrew (Kristine) Hanson, Mrs. Gilbert (Olga) Lee, and Mrs. Anna Anderson, all of Osage, and Mrs. Alfred (Della) Anderson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one son, Ole Framstad, of Woodward, Iowa and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Hove, of Norway. Her husband, two sons, and a daughter preceded her in death.

Dortha Olsdatter Slette (also found Sletta) born August 19, 1857 at Braaten in Gran, Alm, Hadeland, Oppland, Norway. (don't know parents but her dad must be Ole for her to be Olsdatter.)
Emigrated to Iowa in 1880.
Married Gudbrand Pedersen Framstad March 31, 1882 Mitchell, Iowa; 8 children.
Died February 13, 1948 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa. Buried at Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
