ROBERT ECKFORD
Robert Eckford, 81, died at 4:30 p.m. yesterday at Christie Convalescent home, Cedar Falls, of complications incident to advanced age. He had been ill since a cerebral hemorrhage suffered three years ago.

Prior to Cedar Falls residence, lived past 18 years with brother, James, Osage.

Born January 23, 1867, son of Robert and Janet (Wilson) Eckford near Osage on a farm; was employed for several years as manager of Northwestern Bell telephone Co., at Osage and as engineer with Osage city water works.

Survived by brother, James; preceded in death by one brother; funeral tentatively set for Tuesday afternoon.
