Lise Marie Dynna was born in Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa on December 2, 1872 to Lars and Ingeborg Flatla Dynna. She was baptized and confirmed in the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, of which she has always been a member. She attended the rural schools of her district and continued her studies at the Cedar Valley Seminary.

On March 9, 1892 she was united in marriage to Herman K. Klemesrud of this community. After their marriage, they made their home on a farm in Cedar Township.

On this place they continued to live until about a year ago when the family moved to a farm in Rock Grove Township, Floyd County, Iowa.

In her wedlock ten children were born, of which three died at an early age. The following children survive: Mrs. Ingvald (Alice) Sponheim, Mrs. Edwin (Helen) Maakestad, Kalmar, Irene, Knud, Louise and Ludvig, all of this community. There are also three grandchildren that survive. Besides the children and husband, the following also survive: her mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Wamstad; a sister, Della Wamstad; and a brother, Brede Wamstad.

Mrs. Klemesrud had enjoyed good health nearly all her life. She was ill for about a week before her death on February 1, 1926. Funeral services were conducted at Rock Creek Lutheran Church on Wednesday, February 3rd with Rev. O.C. Myhre officiating. Interment was made in the Rock Creek cemetery.
