PITCHFORD VICTIM OF OSAGE IS DEAD
Osage, Ia. – Funeral arrangements are incomplete for Clifford Evans, 26, Osage, who died Tuesday noon in a Mason City hospital.
Monday morning, he jumped from a load of hay to the ground, striking an upright pitchfork, which penetrated the lower abdomen and adjoining area, causing his death.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Evans of McIntire. He leaves his wife, the former Leone Barker, 2 sons, age 2 and 4, his parents, and brothers and sisters.

He was buried in the Liberty Cemetery.

The note alongside the cemetery record said he died at the age of 26 years, 10 months, 3 days. That would make his birth date August 29, 1919.
