EARL WAYNE DIES
OF HEART ATTACK
IN CALIFORNIA
Earl Wayne, 62, passed away at his home at Hawthorne, California, last Sunday [January 2, 1944?], from a heart attack, according to a message received by his brother, Claude Wayne. He had been in his usual health and was about his home when stricken.
Mr. Wayne was born at Boscobel, Wisconsin, and came to McIntire with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Wayne, when a small child. He was reared there, and later came to Osage to make his home.
More than 20 years ago he went west. At the time of his death he was employed in the shipyards near Hawthorne.
His only survivors are his wife and brother, Claude. His parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Wayne was a veteran of World War I.
A funeral service was held at Inglewood, California, with burial being there.
