FLORENCE STEHN DIES AT 83, RITES SUNDAY
Stacyville – Mrs. Florence Cornick Stehn, 83, former correspondent for the Globe-Gazette, died Thursday following a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday at Hatten Funeral Home. The Rev. Mr. Brockmeyer officiated. Burial was at Carpenter.
Born April 7, 1878, she was the daughter of Frances Thompson and Hardy B. Cornick. She was married to Herman H. Stehn, August 26, 1900. He died in 1942
Surviving are five children, Loren, Burton, Hardy, Mrs. Marion (Peggy) Fretthem and Mrs. Virgil (Marie) Peterson, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four brothers, Cliff, Field, Henry, and Delos Cornick and three sisters, Mrs. Ina Blackmer, Mrs. Maude White and Mrs. Alyce Robertson.
