ARTHUR RECKNER SUCCUMBS TO HEART ATTACKRiceville – Arthur Reckner, 67, died at his home south of Riceville, Sunday following a heart attack. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Graveside rites will be conducted by the Roy Gue Post of the American Legion.
Born March 1, 1894, on a farm near Acme, he was the son of Joseph and Helena Yahn Reckner. He was married to Bernice Lebow, January 23, 1934. He was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. James (Vera) Contino, Evansdale; five brothers, Joe and Frank, Riceville; August, Ben and Charles, Charles City; a sister, Mrs. Allison (Lena) Ripley, Cresco.

Arthur Reckner married Bernice Elisabeth Dorothea Lebow, the daughter of Frederick Lebow Jr. and Minnie Kapka.
