OSAGE, IOWA — Margaret E. Kennison, 87, of 914 Davidson Dr., Osage, formerly of Mason City, died Wednesday (Feb. 24, 1999) at the Mitchell County Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church, 1301 N. Carolina Ave., Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.

MASON CITY, IOWA — Margaret E. Kennison, 87, of 904 N. Van Buren Ave., died Wednesday (Feb. 24, 1999) at the Mitchell County Regional Hospital, Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church, 1301 N. Carolina Ave., with the Rev. David French officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Major-Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Memorials may be given to the First Assembly of God Church.

Margaret E. Kennison was born Dec. 1, 1911, in Mason City, the daughter of Charles and Susan (Gullickson) Vigdahl. Margaret attended and graduated from Mason City High School in 1930. She married Claude C. Kennison on Sept. 14, 1931, in Mason City. Together they attended St. Paul Bible College in St. Paul, Minn., for one year. They moved back to Mason City and lived here until 1948, when they moved to Orchard, Iowa, where they farmed. In 1961, they moved back to Mason City and she worked for the Park Hospital for several years in the dietary department. She retired in the mid-1970s. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and the Christian Women's Association.

Survivors include one daughter, Kathryn Barker and her husband, Bob, of St. Louis, Mo.; four sons, Philip Kennison and his wife, Mary Jean, of San Angelo, Texas, Thomas Kennison and his wife, Barbara, of Orchard, Gordon Kennison of Mason City and David Kennison of Boulder, Colo.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Doris Lamb, of Juno, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude, in 1987; two brothers, David Vigdahl and Ansil Vigdahl; and one sister, Elsie Higgins.
