Edmund Weipert
Funeral services were held Friday, April 15, 1988, for Edmund Weipert, 78, formerly of New Haven, who died Tuesday, April 12, 1988 at a Waverly hospital.
Richard Tectar and Father Leon Connolly officiated and burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Osage.
Mr. Weipert was born November 29, 1909 in Lansing and moved to the New Haven area in 1947. He worked at White Farm Implement and retired in 1972. He moved to Charles City in 1985. For the last few months he was a resident of the Shell Rock Care Center at Shell Rock.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter; one son; one sister; and two brothers.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Mary Jane) Clos of Des Moines, Betty Saxton of California, Mrs. Jerald (Shirley ) Willis of Denver, Iowa and Pat Weipert of Charles City; five sons, Arthur of Prescott, Valley, Arizona, Raymond of Texas, Dave of Osage, Kenny of Des Moines, and Richard of Waverly; five sisters, Mrs. Odelia Weber of Lansing, Mrs. Stella Milham of Waukon, Loretta Zweibhomer of Ossian, Clara Hesse of Dubuque, and Mary Arndt of Riceville; one brother, Clarence of Lancing; 32 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
