Cecil Goodbrand
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage, for Cecil Goodbrand, 76, of Osage. The Reverend Joseph Nesheim and the Reverend Dennis Hanson will officiate and burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Mr. Goodbrand died Sunday, February 14, 1988 at a Rochester, Minnesota hospital. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Champion Funeral Home, Osage.
Mr. Goodbrand was born May 14, 1911 in Mitchell County to William and Mary (Moudy) Goodbrand. He was educated in rural Mitchell County schools.
On April 19, 1937 he and Elsie Horstman were united in marriage in New Hampton. They farmed in Riceville and Little Cedar areas until moving to Colby, Wisconsin in 1959 where they farmed. The couple retired in Osage in 1971
Mr. Goodbrand was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, David.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie of Osage; a daughter, Mrs. Jim (Wilma) Hungerford of Osage; a grandchild, four great-grandchildren and a brother, Stanley of Riceville.
