John "Jack" Novotny
Funeral services for longtime Osage resident, Jack Novotny, age 82, who died Wednesday, January 25, 1984, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, were held on Saturday, January 28 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. Rev. Jacob Roth officiated with burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Mr. Novotny had worked for the Mitchell County Road Maintenance Department for 44 years.
He was survived by his wife, Ida of Osage; four daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Delores) Dickson of Des Moines; Mrs. Bob (Nancy) Hess of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Larry (Sandra) Klosterman of Davenport and Mrs. Berle (Sheila) Freeman of Menomonee Falls, Wisc.; a stepsister, Mrs. Mary Hora of Clutier; a stepbrother, Joseph Novotny of Osage and five grandchildren.
