HALEY, Marvin 1927-2010

RICEVILLE, IOWA - Marvin Haley, 83, of Riceville passed away on Monday October 11, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 16, at the Riceville United Methodist Church in Riceville with the Rev. Pam Kranzler officiating.

Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Riceville. Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville from 4-7 p.m. Friday, October 15, and one hour before services at the church.

Marvin was born in Tama, Iowa, on April 14, 1927, to Edward and Vernice (Bentley) Haley. He attended local schools and graduated from McIntire High School. On January 21, 1946, Marvin was united in marriage to Ethel Ann Alden at the Austin Methodist Church in Austin, Minn. To this union two children were born. Marvin farmed and worked at White Farm Equipment Co. in Charles City until its closing. He was a member of the Riceville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel, of Riceville; one son, Marvin Jr. and his wife Regina of Mason City; a son-in-law, Bill Bouska of Cresco; and 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Patricia Bouska.
