William Henry Herron January 5, 1867 – January 7, 1950

Osage – Funeral Rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Champion funeral home for William Herron, 83 who died suddenly Saturday of a heart attack while en route to Osage from his farm home two miles from Osage.

He had been in good health. She was born to John and Elizabeth (Lloyd) Herron at Janesville, Wisconsin, January 5, 1867. He came to Osage with his parents when he was a small boy. He went to Colorado in 1910 and homesteaded. He married Christina Halverson of Norway in 1890, who died in 1902.

In 1911 he married Adda Hardy of Austin, Minnesota. The couple lived first in Colorado, then came to Osage in 1932, and he followed the trade of stone hewer.

He leaves his wife, two sons; Merle, Antn, Colorado; John, Osage; a daughter, Mrs. John Krones, Osage; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; a half brother, Ed Hardy, Denver; and a half-sister, Mrs. Jessie Elliott, Denver.

Preceding him besides his first wife were a daughter, Mildred, two brothers, Charles and Elmer.
