Services Are Held At
First Lutheran Church

Funeral services for Martha Catherine Kofoot, 80, of St. Ansgar, who died Saturday, February 7 at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, were held Tuesday, February 10 at First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, with he Reverend Donald Comnick officiating.

Mrs. Kofoot was born on a farm northwest of Rockwell on May 3, 1906 to Herman and Anna Eilers Robeoltman. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Rockwell.

On June 17, 1925 she was united in marriage to Ernest Kofoot on her parent's farm near Rockwell. The couple moved to St. Ansgar in 1966. She was a cook at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar for 11½ years until she retired in 1978. The couple observed their sixtieth wedding anniversary in 1985.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest of St. Ansgar; three daughters, Helen Mae Liekweg of Sheffield; Mrs. Marvin (Lucille) Solberg of Floyd; and Mrs. Jim (Donella) Kline of St. Ansgar; five sons, Marvin of St. Ansgar; Ralph of Spring Valley; Leo of Spirit Lake; Lule of Paxton, Illinois, and Donald of Estherville; 23 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; five sisters, Marie Bennett of Limon, Colorado; Lena Jensen of Rockwell; Emman Oeltjenbruns of Owatonna, Minnesota; Anna Helms of Owatonna, Minnesota; and Alma Burmeister of Mason City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant son and one sister.

Burial was in the First Lutheran Cemetery.
