Services pending for William Eschweiler- Riceville, IA

Funeral Services were pending at press time Wednesday morning for William Eschweiler, who passed away Tuesday Evening, Nov 1 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage, IA.
The funeral arrangements are being completed through the Lindstrom Funeral Home of Riceville, IA.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 am on Friday, November 4,1977, in the Immaculate Conception Church of Riceville for William Christopher Eschweiler, who passed away Nov 1, 1977 at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage. The Reverend Gregory Hemesath officiated at the Mass of Requiem.

He was born Jan 17,1890 in Stacyville, IA the son of John and Maggie (Gerhartz) Eschweiler. He lived in the Riceville area all of his life. He was a farmer by trade and attended the local county school. He was the oldest member of the Rov Gue Post 244 of the American Legion of Riceville and was a Private in the United States Army and served during World War I. He is survived by one sister, Agatha, of Riceville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with the Lindstrom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

I wish to thank all my friends and neighbors for their kindnesses at the time of Bill’s sickness and death. Thanks to Fr. Hemesath, organist, soloist, casket bearers, altar boys, lector, Lindstrom Funeral Home and Rosary Society for a lovely meal.
