MRS. THEODORE BECHTUM, RICEVILLE, DIES

Riceville – Mrs. Theodore Bechtum, died Wednesday morning at the home of her son, Fred, west of town. Mrs. Bechtum has been bedfast for some time following a stroke.

Pauline Louise Bechtum was born March 18, 1869 in Breitscheid, Germany, the daughter of Heinrich “Henry” Gail and Caroline (Nix) Gail.
She married Theodore Bechtum on January 22, 1888.
To this union were born four children, one passing away in infancy.
Surviving her was her widower, and children: Mrs. Henry (Frieda) Moeller, Mrs. Elmer (Minnie) Dannewitz, and a son Fred Bechtum, of Riceville.
