COLBY, WISCONSIN -- Funeral services for Mrs. Michael Nosbisch, 78, of Colby, were held at 11 a.m. this morning (Monday) at St Mary's Catholic Church in Colby.
Mrs. Nosbisch died at 12:30 Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield where she had been a patient for 10 days.
The Rev. Francis P. Rushman, pastor, officiated, and burial was made in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael and Mark Geigel, William Gottschalk, James Murphy, Virgil Folz, and Marcel Linzmeier.
The former Christina Brost was born July 31, 1895, in Stacyville, Iowa, the daughter of Lambert Brost and Margaret (May) Brost. She was married to Michael Nosbisch on April 23, 1918, at North Washington, Iowa, where the couple farmed until moving to Edgar in 1920 to continue farming.
In 1938 they moved to the township of Colby, where they farmed until 1957. They then retired and moved to the city of Colby .
The couple had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1968. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, its Christian Mothers Society and the Women's National Catholic society of Foresters.
Survivors include her husband: two sons, Vincent Nosbisch, Milwaukee and Lavern Nosbish, Colby; three daughters Mrs. Victor (Lavona) Reigel, Milladore, Miss Florentina Nosbisch, Neilsville, and Mrs. Arnold (Alvera) Goggschalk, Colby; five sisters, Mrs. Martha Brus, New Hampton, Iowa, Mrs. Loretta Griesbach, Stratfore, Mrs Joseph Folz, Stratford, Mrs. Henry Linzmeier, Auburndale and Mrs. Gust Bleichrod, Muskego; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a great-grandchild, a brother, and a sister.
