Mrs. Michael Strouth, age 82, of 115 SW Second Ave. passed away at the St. Lucas Convalescent and Geriatric Care Center on Thursday, March 21. 1963 Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26, at the St. Lawrence Church at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. F. L. Tschann officiating. Burial in the St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visitation will be made at the Kohl Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon and until the hour of services on Tuesday.
She is survived by two daughters Mrs. Andrew (Marian) Rose of Faribault and Sister Clarus of St. Theresa's College at Winona; three sons, Vincent and Joseph of Faribault, Dr. Bernard Strouth of Boise, Idaho; and nine grandchildren. The parish rosary will be recited on Monday evening at 8 p.m.
Funeral services for Clara Strouth who passed away on Mar. 21 1963 at the age of 82 at the St. Lucas Convalescent and Geriatric Care Center following an extended illness, were held on Mar. 26 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with the Rev. Fred Tschann officiating. The church choir sang for the services. Alfred Becker, John Eschweiler, Tom Meyers, Clem Rose, Carl Rose and Anthony Dries were the pallbearers. Interment was in the St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Clara Eschweiler was born on Jan. 25, 1881 at New Haven, Mitchell, Iowa, the daughter of John and Margaret (Gerhartz) Eschweiler. She was married on Sept. 8, 1908 to Michael Strouth at Faribault and they farmed in Wells Township. She was a member of the Rosary Society of her church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Marian) Rose of Faribault and Sister M. Clarus of the College of St. Teresa in Winona; three sons, Bernard of Boise Idaho and Vincent and Joseph of rural Faribault, nine grandchildren, a sister, Agatha and a brother, William, both of Riceville, Iowa and a brother, John of New Hampton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; a son, Ralph; her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and two grandchildren. Relatives and friends came from New Hampton, Iowa; Riceville, Iowa; St. Paul; Mankato; Eagle Lake; Hastings; Ashton, Iowa; Waterloo, Iowa; and Winona.
