AGED OSAGE RESIDENT DIES; FUNERAL TUESDAY

Osage -- -- Mrs. Charles Forrest Woods, 84 died Saturday afternoon at the home of her sister Bertie Levers, with whom she has made her home for the past 17 years. Funeral services will be at the Champion funeral hoe Tuesday at 3 p.m., in charge of the Rev. Stiles Lessly, Congregational pastor, with interment in the Osage cemetery.

Surviving are one sister, Bertie Levers, Osage; 2 brothers Frank Diemer of Northfield, Minnesota; and Harry Diemer of Long Beach, California; 2 sons, William Woods, Spokane, Washington, and Roy C. Woods, Chicago.

MRS. ADDIE WOODS, 84
AGED RESIDENT, DIES

Funeral services for Mrs. Addie Wood, 84, one of the older residents of Osage, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Champion Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Stiles Lessly. Burial was made in the Osage cemetery.

Mrs. Woods died in Osage on Saturday afternoon, July 21, 1945. She had been in failing health for some time.

Adelaide Louise Diemer, the daughter of Theodore and Louise Murphy Diemer, was born on April 10, 1861. She was the oldest in a family of five children.

She came with her parents to Osage when she was about three years of age. She attended the public schools here and grew up to young womanhood. On May 15, 1879, she was married to Charles F. Woods of Osage. Three sons were born to this union.

They lived in Osage for many years. About 50 years ago they moved to Minneapolis, where they lived for about 13 years, then about 18 years ago Mrs. Woods returned to Osage to make her home with her sister, where she has since lived most of the time.

As a young woman she became a member of the Osage Congregational church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1902, and by her son, Lynn, who died ten years ago.

She is survived by her two sons, Roy Charles Woods of Chicago and William Woods of Spokane, Washington; one sister, Mrs. Bertie Levers of Osage; two brothers, Frank Diemer of Northfield, Minnesota, and Harry Diemer of Long Beach, Calif. Also, she has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
