Annie Rustad, 86
Funeral services for Annie Rustad, 86, who died September 2, 1994, were held September 5 at Mona Lutheran Church, Mona with the Reverend Russ Wangen officiating.
Annie Rustad was born October 30, 1907, in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Robert C. and Annie Nelson Rustad. Annie's mother died when she was only six weeks old. She attended Mona grade school, then Otranto High School for two years, graduating from Northwood High School.
After high school she took care of her father and did housekeeping for individuals in the area. In 1935 Annie went to Minneapolis and worked at the University Hospital kitchen. During the war she worked in a defense plant after which she entered business college.
Annie became a cashier and bookkeeper for several businesses in the downtown Minneapolis area. She moved to Northwood in 1979, then to Lyle, Minnesota in 1988 and to the Good Samaritan Center in June of 1991.
Annie is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Ruth, Amy and Alice; one brother, Carroll.
Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona.
