Stacyville Native Succumbs in Kansas

Stacyville – Word has been received here of the death of Billy Lang, 35, at Iola, Kansas, following a heart attack. He was born in Stacyville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lang, and spent his early life here, later moving to Osage where he finished high school.

For some years he was in business with his father, making buttermilk products and later operating a plant of his own in Colorado.

Survivors include the widow and 4 children, the youngest a baby of 5 weeks, his mother, Mrs. Martha Lang of Osage, his father, Elmer Lang of Des Moines, a sister, Mrs. John Casey of Osage, and two brothers, Gene in Canada and Ted in Wisconsin.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete, but it is believed burial will be at Osage.

William Hartnell Lang ("Billie" was born February 6, 1916 in Greeley, Delaware, Iowa, the son of Elmer Philo Land and Martha Elizabeth Hartnell.
He married Dorothy DeWitt, the daughter of Mrs. L. T. DeWitt of Crescent, Oklahoma
