Frank Louis Pint was born on April 16, 1905 at Meyer, Mitchell County, Iowa to John C. and Sophia Braun Pint. He attended the Osage schools.

On September 18, 1928, Josephine Koschmeder and Frank Pint were united in marriage at the Sacred Heart Church in Osage, Iowa.

Josephine and Frank made their first home southwest of Osage. They farmed near Osage, Mitchell and spent two years west of Elma, Howard County, Iowa. In 1944, they established their home on the maternal Koschmeder farm near Mitchell.

After a number of years of ill health “Josie” passed away on August 20, 1948 at home near Mitchell. She is buried at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Osage, Iowa.

“Josie” and Frank were the parents of four daughters:

Delores Jean was born on October 10, 1930 in Cedar Township, Mitchell County, Iowa. She passed away on October 13, 1930 and is buried at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Osage, Iowa.

Florence Ellen is married to Dean W. Krones. They are the parents of three children: Larry, Lori, and Lennis. Florence and Dean reside in Osage.

Jean Francis is married to Duane Alden. They are the parents of seven children; Gordon, Randall, Debra Larson, Brenda Reiken, Bruce, Michele, and Roxane Hanson. Jean and Duane reside in Grand Meadow, Minnesota.

Darlene Joan was born June 3, 1938 near Elma, Howard County, Iowa. She married Dwight A. Alden on September 14, 1954 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Riceville, Iowa. Darlene passed away on November 5, 1973 at Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa. She is buried at the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville, Iowa. Their seven boys; Roy, Jerry, Rick, Thomas, Rex, Steven, and Dwight Jr. mourned her passing.

With his young family, Frank moved to the Riceville area in 1949 and in 1954 purchased the farm on the northeast quarter of Section 1, Douglas Township, Mitchell County, Iowa.

Frank Pint and Amanda Lubbert Steinmetz were united in marriage on December 18, 1964. They later purchased a home in Riceville and retired from the farm. Retirement was short. Frank passed away on March 22, 1975 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage, Iowa. He is buried at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Osage. Amanda resides in Denver, Iowa.
