HAROLD W. MULLENBACH

OSAGE - Harold William Mullenbach, 80, died Saturday (Nov. 18, 2000) at his home in Osage.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with the Rev. Philip Recker officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery with military rites conducted by Osage American Legion Post 278 and Osage V.F.W. Post 7920.

Visitation will be from 2:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, 702 State St., Osage, with a rosary beginning at 3 p.m. and a scripture service at 7 p.m.

Harold was born Feb. 22, 1920, in Loyal, Wis., the son of Fred and Bertha (Huemann) Mullenbach. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served from 1942 to 1945. He was a truck driver and a machine gun expert and he served in Hawaii, the Philippines, R. Ryukyas and the Eastern Mandates.

He was united in marriage to Mildred Spoden on May 1, 1946, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage. Harold lived in Osage all of his life.

Harold's work was masonry and plastering until he got his hand injured in a corn picker accident. He then worked for Falk Quarries, then as a custodian at the Mitchell County Courthouse, and later he was employed at Winnebago Industries, where he retired. In the summers after he retired, he worked for the city of Osage.

He was a member of Osage American Legion Post 278 and the Osage V.F.W. Post 7920.

Harold is survived by his mother, Bertha Mullenbach, of Osage; his wife, Mildred Mullenbach of Osage; three sons, Tyrone Mullenbach and his wife, Margie, and their children, Devin and Deann Mullenbach, all of Tuscon, Ariz., Terry Mullenbach and his son, Scott Mullenbach, both of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Tracy Mullenbach and his wife, Darcy, and their children, Rebecca, Hanna and Kyle Mullenbach, all of Osage; one sister, Marcelline Kisner and her husband, Tim (Oliver), of Osage; three brothers, Germaine Mullenbach and his wife, Helen, of Ames, Melvin Mullenbach and his wife, Marie, of Willcox, Ariz., and La Vern Mullenbach and his wife, Bonnie, of Osage; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Gervese; and one infant granddaughter, Monique Stella Mullenbach.
