Mrs. Arends Will Be Buried at Stacyville

STACYVILLE, IOWA – May 22nd: -- Word was received Saturday by relatives of the sudden death of Mrs. Arend Arends, Plainview, Minn. Mrs. Arends was born near here on November 5, 1882.

Besides her husband, she is survived by seven children, Mrs. Esther Schwab, Rochester, Minn.; Mrs. Ella Lee, Roland; Margaret, Beulah, Reuben and Ruth, all of Plainview, her mother, Mrs. Anna Barwind, Stacyville; two brothers, Jake Barwind, Austin; and Fred, Ottonville, Minn., and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Gerhart, Stacyville and Mrs. John Markow, Osage. Burial will be in the Union Presbyterian cemetery north of here.

Mary Katherine Susana (Barwind) Arends was born November 5, 1882, the daughter of George Barwind and Anna (Decker) Barwind. She married Arend Arends (1878-1949).

Arend and Mary are both buried in the Union Presbyterian Cemetery, Stacyville, Iowa, along with their son Arend Jacob Arends (1915-1918).
