Marlene J. Clausen

OSAGE - Marlene J. Clausen, 70, of Osage died on Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Faith Lutheran Home, Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, with the Rev. Dennis Hanson officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 S. School St. in St. Ansgar.

Marlene Clausen was born May 22, 1940, in Long Prairie, Minnesota, to Herald and Matilda Krumheuer. After graduating from Long Prairie High School and Minneapolis Business College, she married Richard Charles Clausen in 1960.

They farmed near Stacyville from 1957 to 1978. Marlene was active in her church and had an array of hobbies including sewing, card playing and putting together puzzles. In her younger days she also did a lot of dancing and baking. She enjoyed family gatherings, especially those involving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; mother, Matilda; father, Herald; grandmother, Augusta Fortmann; sons Mark and Todd; and daughter Renae.

Survivors include her son, Marlin (Renee) Clausen of Stacyville; daughter, Tricia Clausen of Osage; daughter, Shari (Brian) Mork of Osage; daughter-in-law, Tonya Clausen of Rochester, Minn.; brother, Marvin Krumheuer of Moorehead, Minn.; and 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, is in charge of arrangements, 641-713-4920.
