Mitchell County Man Dies at Osage; Rites Will Be Held Saturday

Osage---Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:45 p.m., Champion Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Church, for Gilbert J. Dammen, long time resident of Mitchell County, who died Wednesday at a local hospital. He resided at the home of his son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Dammen at Mitchell. In charge of the service will be the Rev. T. P. Solem, with burial in Riverview cemetery south of St. Ansgar.

Survivors include 4 sons, Jay of Granville, N. Dak., Karl, Osage, Edwin, Mitchell, and Alton, West Plains Mo., 2 daughters Mrs. Roy Gustafson, Waterloo and Mrs. Michael Selzler, Santa Monica, Cal, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Donald Graves, Riceville.

Gilbert was born January 1, 1860 in Norway and died July 10, 1946. His first wife was Clara (nee unknown) 1862-1901 and his 2nd wife was Anna Marie (Nelson) Cameron Dammen 1877-1921.
Gilbert and Clara are buried in the Riverview Cemetery, St. Ansgar and his 2nd wife is buried in the Osage Cemetery, where her first husband James Grant Cameron is buried.
